CARPENLU BASICS Mobile Preset Pack

Hi friends!! If you're looking for some new presets to spice up your Instagram feed, edit your recent travel photos, or give a smoother look to your portraits, these presets are for you. With bright, classic tones, these will bring a whole new look to your photos. While the basic preset pack is intended mainly for photos like the ones I take on my camera, they also work with your everyday iPhone snaps! 

In the future, I will be releasing a pack that is exclusively for RAW photos and is only compatible with a Lightroom Classic Desktop subscription (a professional photography pack). I am also looking to release another mobile pack that is designed exclusively for iPhone (non-professional) photos, but THIS PRESET PACK IS INTENDED TO BE A HAPPY-MEDIUM. This being said, you can use these presets for both camera and iPhone photos! 

The pack includes five basic presets that I use to edit nearly all of my photos: CL CLASSIC, CL CLOUD, CL GREENS, CL SUN, and CL WARM. Note: these presets are most compatible with JPEGs, but I have used them to edit RAW photos from time to time (more adjustments will need to be made!) 

CL CLASSIC: The preset that I use as a baseline for nearly all of my edits. Works best with photos that have even, diffused lighting and bright colors.

CL CLOUD: The preset that I use for most of my indoor portraits. Works best for photos that have overcast light and that you want to add a “moody” tone to. Has darker tones and less warmth, and adds a smooth look to portraits.

CL GREENS: The preset that I use for most of my senior photos. Works best for photos with plenty of greens, and photos that you want to add a little extra warmth and vibrance to.

CL SUN: **THIS PRESET IS THE BEST ONE FOR YOUR IPHONE PHOTOS!** The preset that I use for photos taken in direct sunlight, as well as photos that I take with my iPhone. Tones down skin saturation while adding a slightly faded yet vibrant look.

CL WARM: The preset that I use for photos that are a little darker and need some warmth.

HOW TO IMPORT: After buying, there should be a receipt page where you can find the option to view your product. From there, you can download each of the preset images to your phone by hitting the "download" button. ***If this does not show up, or the download does not seem to work, HEAD TO YOUR EMAIL where you will receive a confirmation and a button that says download - click on this! The download won't save them directly to your camera roll, so you will need to hit the blue download icon (circle around an arrow) that appears in the top right corner of your browser, right next to your search bar! Here, you will see the name of the preset. Click on that, then hit the upwards arrow save icon in the top right corner. There should be an option to “save image.” Click that, and your preset is now saved to your camera roll. Make sure to do that with each one!The images should show up in your camera roll as blank white images. DO NOT PANIC! This is how they are supposed to look. Once you have these images saved in your camera roll, open up the Lightroom Mobile app (available in the app store). Upload them into the app, and they should show up as actual images with the name of each preset on them. From here, you can copy and paste the settings to your own images by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner. Click "copy settings," go to the image you want to edit, hit the three dots again, and click "paste settings." 

 MAKE ADJUSTMENTS AS NECESSARY - these presets will not fit every one of your photos perfectly! Make sure you are using the different tools in Lightroom to tailor edits for each photo. If you don't see a download option from Gumroad, check your email to see if you received them as an email. 

Basic tips: If your photo looks too dark or too bright, use the exposure tool to adjust. If it seems “overedited,” TAKE DOWN THE CONTRAST, saturation, and edit strength of individual colors using the hue, saturation, and luminance tools (under the mix option in the color section of Lightroom Mobile).
